1st Grade

1ST GRADE TEACHER, KERR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

It has been an exciting year at Kerr. As a first grade teacher,  I have created and delivered lesson plans for all content areas based on state standards. I also have developed expertise in lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiation of lesson plans based on student ability. I communicated and collaborated with parents to identify and solve student learning problems.I also collaborated with administration and staff to develop and implement behavior management plans.

STUDENT TEACHER, HALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

I have had the pleasure of working as a student teacher for the last few months. During this time I have learned a great deal from my mentor teacher, Mrs.Schaub. I have assumed the role of classroom teacher and am responsible for planing and teaching all subjects. I attend all meetings and professional development opportunities. I assist with the Student council and have volunteered at school events. I truly have enjoyed all of my time at Hale and will miss the students of room 27 when I leave. My student teaching will end on November 3rd, 2017.

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT FOR SPACE INTEGRATION MODULE AND FLIGHT CENTER, MESA PUBLIC SCHOOLS

I had the privileged of working in the S.I.M. and F.C. programs in Mesa Public Schools for over 3 years. During this time I worked with students, helped develop curriculum, taught, and worked with technology on a daily basis. I also assisted with the science fair, STEAM professional development classes, the Sci-tech festival, and other small projects. I worked at 4 different schools and was responsible for getting the classroom ready for our 5th and 6th grade students. This position allowed me to grow as a teacher and develop strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.

CHILD NUTRITION ASSISTANT,  HIGHLAND ELEMENTARY

At Highland elementary I was fortunate enough to work as part of the child nutrition team. We were responsible for preparing and distributing lunches for the students in grades k-6. I was able to quickly and effectively complete all aspects of this job. It was an excellent step into the Mesa Public Schools family and is where I first developed my passion for this district and it's staff.

VISUAL MERCHANDISER AND TRAINER, CIP MARKETING ON BEHALF OF ADIDAS U.S.

While working for CIP Marketing on behalf of Adidas U.S. I was responsible for the Arizona accounts. This included ensuring product was properly merchandised, training employees of various accounts, managing marketing materials, and interacting with customers. I was also able to travel to major sporting events to hire and train the staff. I managed budgets, created visual merchandising plans, developed training programs, and worked to ensure the project was able to sell at all locations.
