It has been an exciting year at Kerr. As a first grade teacher, I have created and delivered lesson plans for all content areas based on state standards. I also have developed expertise in lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiation of lesson plans based on student ability. I communicated and collaborated with parents to identify and solve student learning problems.I also collaborated with administration and staff to develop and implement behavior management plans.
STUDENT TEACHER, HALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
I have had the pleasure of working as a student teacher for the last few months. During this time I have learned a great deal from my mentor teacher, Mrs.Schaub. I have assumed the role of classroom teacher and am responsible for planing and teaching all subjects. I attend all meetings and professional development opportunities. I assist with the Student council and have volunteered at school events. I truly have enjoyed all of my time at Hale and will miss the students of room 27 when I leave. My student teaching will end on November 3rd, 2017.
INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT FOR SPACE INTEGRATION MODULE AND FLIGHT CENTER, MESA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
I had the privileged of working in the S.I.M. and F.C. programs in Mesa Public Schools for over 3 years. During this time I worked with students, helped develop curriculum, taught, and worked with technology on a daily basis. I also assisted with the science fair, STEAM professional development classes, the Sci-tech festival, and other small projects. I worked at 4 different schools and was responsible for getting the classroom ready for our 5th and 6th grade students. This position allowed me to grow as a teacher and develop strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
CHILD NUTRITION ASSISTANT, HIGHLAND ELEMENTARY
At Highland elementary I was fortunate enough to work as part of the child nutrition team. We were responsible for preparing and distributing lunches for the students in grades k-6. I was able to quickly and effectively complete all aspects of this job. It was an excellent step into the Mesa Public Schools family and is where I first developed my passion for this district and it's staff.

While working for CIP Marketing on behalf of Adidas U.S. I was responsible for the Arizona accounts. This included ensuring product was properly merchandised, training employees of various accounts, managing marketing materials, and interacting with customers. I was also able to travel to major sporting events to hire and train the staff. I managed budgets, created visual merchandising plans, developed training programs, and worked to ensure the project was able to sell at all locations.
